Some weekends leave a mark. Not because they were loud or extraordinary — but because something quietly shifted inside you. Because you were given the time, the space, and the guidance to go deeper than everyday life allows.
This is that kind of weekend.
Over two days in the heart of Freiburg, we will immerse fully into the practice — body, breath, sound, and the ancient wisdom of self-realization. You will leave not just with a stronger practice, but with something you remembered about yourself.
We begin in the body. A counted or half-counted Primary Series to settle the system, steady the breath, and bring us into one shared rhythm. The form is precise, the tone is gentle — an invitation rather than a demand.
The aim is not to perform. The aim is to listen.
Beyond the postures, we turn toward the older roots of the practice. Lectures on self-realization, threads of Vedanta philosophy, theory and discussion — a living exploration of what Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga truly is.
Not just movement. A path back to the Self.
Sound is the thread that ties the weekend together. Mantra and sacred sound are woven through each session — offered not as performance, but as prayer. A way of letting the practice settle into something deeper than thought.
And around it all, the silence we keep together.
A gentle arrival into the practice, the space, and each other. A counted or half-counted Primary Series to settle the body and open the breath. The evening holds us softly as we find our ground together.
A full day of immersion. Morning practice to wake the body. Afternoon sessions weaving together theory, self-realization, mantra, and sound — a living exploration of what Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga truly is. Not just movement, but a path back to the Self.
We close with one final session — spacious, integrative, and full of heart. A morning to seal what has opened, and to carry it forward into the days that follow.
This gathering also holds a quiet celebration — of practice, of community, and of a very dear soul whose presence makes every room more luminous. We are honoured to share this weekend in her space. ■
We are honoured to gather in Borislava’s shala in Freiburg — a warm, intimate, sacred practice space, held with care for many years. Natural light, wooden floors, the quiet hum of a room that has carried thousands of breaths.
Borislava is a long-time teacher of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and a dear friend. Her presence makes every room more luminous, and this weekend is — in part — a quiet celebration of her, and of the community that gathers around her practice.
Reservations and payment are made directly to Borislava. She will share the payment details and confirm your place.
Julia Grant-Scott is a sound and embodiment artist, Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga teacher, and guide in self-realization. Originally from Kazakhstan, her journey weaves together yoga, breathwork, sound, and the wisdom of Vedanta — each one deepening her relationship with life and with practice.
She teaches not to instruct, but to remind — that the practice is always a path back to the Self.
Julia’s work is for those who are ready to listen — not just with their ears, but with their whole being.
Places for this weekend are strictly limited — this is an intimate gathering by nature. If you feel the call, trust it.
